Since discovering stiff person syndrome, which causes frequent muscle spasms, particularly affecting the vocal cords, Celine Dion has remained discreet and away from the spotlight. However, the singer’s family provides an update on her state of health through certain interviews.
And this time, the artist’s sister affirms that Céline is waiting for a miracle to recover from the illness. According to Claudette Dion, spasms are frequent and intense for the owner of the hit “My Heart Will Go On”.
“It’s a disease that we know so little about. There are spasms that we can’t control. You know when someone gets up at night because of a cramp in their leg or calf? C “It’s a bit like that, but in all the muscles,” she said, in an interview with the Canadian magazine Hello. “There’s not much we can do to support her, to ease her pain.”
She currently lives in Las Vegas with her children and her sister, who divides her life between the United States and the province of Quebec, Canada.
“She is doing everything she can to recover, she is a strong woman. It is comforting for all of us to be by Célice’s side,” he said. He added: “We are keeping our fingers crossed that researchers will find a medicine for this terrible disease.” (Folhapress)
