Although there is no world champion team, group F will be very interesting to follow. With the ‘Belgian generation’ reaching their final World Cup and Croatia doing well in the 2018 Cup and UEFA Nations League, the group may look like they already have their rankings set, but the selections from Canada and Morocco come from good campaigns in their qualifications and cannot be ignored.

The 2022 World Cup will be the last of this generation which played its first World Cup in 2014 and which produced the best performance in the history of the country by finishing third in 2018. With a solid midfield, but with an already aged attack, Belgium is no longer as confident as before and did not qualify for the UEFA Nations League final – even beaten by the Netherlands (4-1) in stride.
The main highlights of the team are goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, recently named the best goalkeeper in the world, considered by many to be largely responsible for Real Madrid’s victory in the UEFA Champions League final, and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne , recognized for his assists by Manchester United. City as well as Belgium.

By finishing the Concacaf qualifiers in first place and qualifying for their second World Cup in history, Canada surprised even the most optimistic about their selection. With a young squad that have outplayed arch rivals USA and Mexico on the road, the Canadians arrive as Group F underdogs, but have the potential to make life difficult for their opponents.
The main asset of the Canadian team is the versatile Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich. With his speed and agility, he can play both back and forward as a winger and has won 14 titles with Bayern Munich sides. For Canada, so far there have been 34 games played, with 12 goals scored and 17 assists.

To reach the World Cup, Croatia finished first in a relatively easy group, which also included Russia (later eliminated from the qualifiers), Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus and Malta. The 2018 cup finalists were knocked out in the Euro 2020 Round of 16 but recovered and qualified for the UEFA Nations League final, beating France, Denmark and Austria.
The two main Croatian players are veterans Luka Modric (35, Real Madrid) and Ivan Perisic (33, Tottenham). They were key elements of the Vatreni and they have, combined, more than 260 matches for the Balkan national team. With this seniority and this experience, they can make the team shine in Group F.

Morocco did a good job in their qualifying campaign and reached the 2022 World Cup with the rest. In the first phase they went through with 100% of the group with Guinea-Bissau, Guinea and Sudan and in the knockout phase they beat the Democratic Republic of Congo by 5 to 2 on aggregate. However, the manager in charge was sacked three months from the World Cup and put a question mark over the team’s potential.
In 2018, the Moroccans had a good campaign in the group stage and did not achieve better results by details. So that the same does not happen in 2022, the team has veterans Yassine Bounou (goalkeeper, 31, Sevilla), Roman Saiss (defender, 32, Besiktas) and the big star of the team, the young PSG winger Achraf Hakimi, who will play his second World Cup for the Atlas Lions.
