the accusation
The alleged case of harassment allegedly took place on the night of December 30-31 at a trendy nightclub in Barcelona. A woman, whose identity has not been released, has accused the right-back of touching her inappropriately, under her underwear, without her consent. The attack allegedly happened when she went to the bathroom.
Accompanied by friends, the woman reported the situation to the security officers of the establishment, who activated the protocol for this type of situation and alerted the Catalan police. That same night, agents of the corporation took the statement of the complainant, who formally filed a complaint of sexual harassment with the authorities on the last day 2.
In an interview with a Spanish TV show, Daniel Alves denied the accusation and claimed not to know the woman who accuses him. The player, however, admitted to being at the nightclub on the day of the alleged incident.
