“I was out of the band for five years, from 1993 to 1998,” he recalls. – We came back with the album “Atrás dos Olhos”, we started to reappear, still timidly, until we recorded “Acústico MTV” (2000), and we reached an unprecedented level of success in the world. history of the group.

– We traveled all over Brazil with the acoustic show, playing seated, just like the MTV special – he says. – We were at Maranhão when we saw Brown’s episode on TV (the Bahian singer was harassed by the public while performing at a more rock party, where Guns N’ Roses was the attraction main). We feel the pressure. Our night was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Silverchair, Deftones, heavier bands, very different from the acoustic gig we had done.

Arriving in Rio, the band performed a rehearsal in which guitarist Loro Jones swapped guitar for guitar and the band played on their feet, in a light electrification of the “Acoustic”.
