Canadian rapper Duck canceled the show he would do this Sunday (26) at Lollapalooza 2023 in Sao Paulo. The attraction would be the main attraction of the night and would close out the third and final day of the festival.
Lollapalooza took to social media and confirmed the cancellation of Drake’s show this morning, clarifying the reasons that led to the rapper’s withdrawal:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake finds himself without members of his sound and production team, essential to the Lollapalooza show in São Paulo. Drake was excited to perform in front of his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is out of your control. Sorry.”

As a replacement, Lollapalooza management hired North American DJ Skrillex. Drake had received the biggest fee of the festivalan amount of 4 million US dollars for the show, which is equivalent to more than 21.2 million reais, according to the current dollar exchange rate.
Drake wasn’t the only one to skip Lollapalooza 2023
Drake’s withdrawal was not the only one that marked the edition of Lollapalooza in 202. Even before the start of the festival, the group Blink-182, which would also be the main attraction on Saturday (25), canceled the show after drummer breaks finger.
Other shows announced in the program, but which ultimately did not succeed, There were appearances from artists Omar Apollo and Dominic Fike, singer Willow and duo 100 Gecs.
