Duda and Ana Patrícia secure medal for Brazil in beach volleyball

Brazil has won another medal at the Olympic Games in Paris (France). It will be achieved by Duda and Ana Patrícia in the women’s beach volleyball conflict. But it remains to be seen whether the feat will be silver or gold. To reach the final of this sport, the Brazilians beat the Australians Mariafe Artacho and Taliqua Clancy by 2 sets to 1 (22-20, 21-15 and 15-12) this Thursday (8).

In the final, the current leaders of the world ranking of this sport will face the Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson, starting at 5:30 p.m. (Brasilia time) next Friday (9).

“We worked hard for this. I think I owe everything to the psychological, technical and physical part and we managed to demonstrate everything on the field,” Duda added. “Rest, enjoy, be happy in this moment, study and tomorrow we will be back in the final,” the athlete concluded.

Ana Patrícia also highlighted the ranking for the decision: “I understand the great challenges we have to face to be here and seek to win [a medalha]Right? So we’ve been through a lot, we’re just one step away from total glory, but everything we’ve done here will go down in history.”

Duda and Ana Patrícia had a great campaign at the Paris Games, with five wins by 2 sets to 0 in the matches up to the semi-finals.
