Sergipe’s Eduarda ‘Ronda’ Moura made his UFC São Paulo debut on the right foot last Saturday night at Ginásio do Iburapuera, defeating Mexican Monteserrat ‘Conejo’ Ruiz by technical knockout in the second round.
At the end of the fight, the Brazilian celebrated the good start to the biggest MMA event in the world, in an interview with UFC Fight Pass.
— I am very happy to have started in my country, with my whole team, with Malhadinho, my training partner, who was in the main fight. I don’t even have words to describe how happy I am,” he said.
With this triumph, Eduarda Moura maintained her invincibility in MMA, now with 10 victories, and hopes to go further in the world of mixed martial arts.
— I arrived focused, I really wanted this victory and to finish my 10/0 and, with faith in God, this will be the start of a beautiful journey that I intend to follow. I will always do my best in everything I can. I hope, who knows, to have a major fight, in a year and a half, or two years, here in Brazil too. That’s what I’m going to get from time to time, the title, if everything goes well, he said.
The Sergipe native also took the opportunity to challenge Romanian-Canadian fighter Diana Belbiță, a UFC strawweight competitor.
— We were eyeing this event in São Paulo and looking for an opponent. Diana Diana Belbiță was someone we thought was available, but she did not receive it willingly, she even offended me unnecessarily. And I ended up with this thing in my heart that I have to get out or I’m going to have a heart attack. I challenge her. She called me a slut on a social network, so I want to show her how to bark in Portuguese — concluded Moura.
