The Basic Health Units (UBS) in Bela Vista and Geisel, in Bauru (SP), will assist suspected cases of dengue only from this Wednesday (15).
According to the town hall, patients should seek both units in case of fever and pain in the body. Calls will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In case of stomach pain, vomiting and persistent diarrhea, you should seek an emergency care unit (UPA).
Due to this change, the two UBS will not hold consultations and will not apply vaccinations from this Wednesday. The other UBS and Family Health Units (USF) will not change their services, continuing primary health care, including the application of vaccines and consultations.
Still according to the municipal administration, the measure aims to reduce the wait in the UPAs in the face of the resurgence of cases of the disease in recent days. This year alone, the city already has 719 indigenous cases (contracted in the municipality), including 12 with alarm signals, eight imported cases and one confirmed death.
In the coming days, the health department will reactivate the space where the PAC operated, next to the central emergency room (CEP), to take care of dengue cases. Details will be announced in due course, the city said.
