Felipe Drugovitch won an unexpected chance to start the season Formula 1: the Brazilian has been announced by Aston Martin as one of the drivers for pre-season testingwhich will take place this week in Bahrain. In Bahrain, each team will have the possibility of using a car on the track during the three days of testing. In total, there will be two teams of four hours of action. The Brazilian will be paired with Fernando Alonso, another Aston Martin starter. On the first day, February 23, Drugovich will drive in the morning, while the Spaniard will drive the car in the afternoon. The schedule for the other two days of activities has not yet been announced.

On social media, Drugovich was excited about the chance. “Let’s go on track! First of all, I would like to wish Lance Stroll a good recovery. However, Drugovich’s presence in the tests still doesn’t mean the Brazilian will be the team starter at the Bahrain GP., the opening stage of the championship, on March 5. Aston Martin has yet to officially confirm Stroll’s absence, leaving open the possibility that Drugovich will drive for the team in the season opener.
