The pieces of the ship will now be used for the investigation which will try to find the causes and conditions of the implosion, which killed the five crew members on board.

Pieces of metal were unloaded from the Canadian Coast Guard vessel Horizon Arctic, which was involved in the search. The photographs show these pieces of the submarine covered in tarpaulins.

According to experts involved in the case, the parts of the Titan that were made of carbon fiber shattered during the implosion.

The main investigation will be led by the US Coast Guard – which also conducted the search – and will benefit from the assistance of Canada and France, which also participated in the operations with ships, planes and probes.

The point at sea where the remains of the Titanic are located is about 600 kilometers off the coast of Canada.

The wreckage was transported to the port of St. John, in the Canadian province of Newfoundland.
