Flamengo signs naturalized Canadian Italian goalkeeper for Brasileirão

Flamengo dreams of playing for the title of the Brazilian Championship this season and are strengthening for the final phase of the competition. The club announced on Monday the signing of goalkeeper Kelly Chiavaro, an Italian of Canadian descent.

“Hello red-black nation, I’m very excited to play for Flamengo, and I can’t wait to meet the team, the commission, the fans, everyone who supports them and everyone in Rio,” Chiavaro said. .

“I can’t wait to help the team win games and titles. Let’s go, we’re together,” concluded the contracted woman, still wearing an Italian national team jersey.

The new recruit was defending the colors of Naples, Italy, and happens to be the new holder of fifth place in the Brasileirão. Flamengo have 21 points, with three rounds remaining, and still don’t have a guaranteed quarter-final spot.

Palmeiras, with 31, Internacional, with 30, São Paulo, 29 and Corinthians 28 are already guaranteed. In addition to Flamengo, six other teams are looking for the remaining four fouls: Real Brasília, 20 points, Santos and Atlético-MG, both with 19, Ferroviária, with 18, Kindermann and Grêmio, with 17.

Besides Chiavaro, Flamengo had already announced the hiring of striker Isadora, who was at Rayo Vallecano, Spain.
