A newscaster has gone viral on social media in recent days for experiencing a curious episode live while the show aired. While talking about a news item, the journalist swallowed a fly.

Even though I had choked on the bug in my throat, Farah Nasser remained calm and continued to report on the recent floods in Pakistan for Canadian broadcaster Global News.

On Twitter, the presenter did not miss the opportunity to joke about the unusual incident during her work and posted a video in which it is possible to observe the exact moment when she swallows the fly.

In an interview with CNN, Nasser said that “I could feel [a mosca] vibrate in the back of my throat when I was done” and the insect was not seen again, which would indicate that it was still inside her.

To a Twitter follower, she revealed that it was a common fly and she was disgusted after the episode. However, the journalist celebrated her “15 minutes of fame” caused by this unusual moment.
