Nadal reaches the round of 16
On the men’s side, the 2nd seed, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, made a quiet 3-0 over the French Richard Gasquet, with partials of 6/0 6/1 and 7/5.
Nadal’s compatriot and third seed Carlos Alcaraz beat American Jenson Brooksby 3-0, with a triple 6/3.
7th seeded Briton Cameron Norrie won 3-0 against 28th seeded Dane Holger Rune 3-0 (7/5 6/4 and 6/1)
Russian Andrey Rublev, seeded 9, beat Canadian Denis Shapovalov, seeded 29, by 3-2 (6/4 2/6 6/7 6/4 and 7/6) in a long confrontation.
