The dispute in the first set was fierce. The pairs fought point by point in each game. The Brazilians did better and won 26×24. The performance dropped in the second set, which did not bring the dispute closer. The Canadians took a big advantage over the Brazilians. There was no way, Brazil lost the second set 21-12, with a 9-point difference. The defeat seems to have given a boost to Duda and Ana Patrícia. The third and final set was dominated by the Brazilians, who had no difficulty in winning comfortably.
