The southern and eastern region of the state of Goiás, through the municipalities of Morrinhos and Cristalina, will receive the installation of Nutrien AG Solution, a Canadian company that is among the largest suppliers of agricultural inputs. Southwest Goiás was supposed to receive this project in Jataí, however, due to internal requests made by councilors Major Davi (DC), Creso Vilela (MDB) and Cida (PTC), which delayed the progress of the project of alienation, the city leaves to receive the investment.

The company intended to bid for a legal acquisition zone for the site, which would allow it to establish itself in the municipality. However, several discussions took place on the project sent by Mayor Vinícius Luz, including the question raised by councilors Creso, Cida and Major Davi regarding the purchasing power of the Canadian group.

During an ordinary session of the Jataí City Hall to resolve disputes, Councilor Pasteur Luiz Carlos (PP) voted against the amendment proposed by Major Davi (DC), which prevented the company from settling in the municipality. The project was approved despite the difficulties in its advancement and even receiving the negative vote of Councilor Creso (MDB). Watch the video below:

However, due to the slowness of the procedure, the company suspended investments in the city, sending a statement to the town hall expressing its decision. The Nutrien facility initially planned investments of 20 million reais, as well as the promotion of 100 direct jobs for the citizens of Jataí.

I inform you that Nutrien AG Solutions, through its management, has taken the decision to suspend the construction of the mixer and the Jataí – GO branch, which would begin in 2020.

As soon as the company decides to resume the project, we will contact the Jataí Town Hall again, which has always served us and helped us in all aspects of establishing the company in Jataí.
