The President’s Government Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) formalized the appointment of the former Minister of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) Carlos França to serve as Brazil’s Ambassador to Canada. According to information from Itamaraty, Carlos França was approved by the Canadian government last month to hold the position. the request of OK (a French word meaning “agreement”) was sent by Lula’s government in April.
Carlos França was Bolsonaro’s minister from April 2021 to December 2022. In place of Ernesto Araújo, he led a management without surprise or conflict with other countries, such as China, led by his predecessor.
