With 99.15% of overseas polls counted at 12:50 a.m. Monday (3) first round of the election, the candidate Lula (PT) comes first and wins 47.13% of the vote. The data comes from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
So far, in foreign municipalities where 100% of the electoral sections have been counted, the PT has won in 79. Thus, Lula has won in countries such as Palestine, the United Kingdom and France.
Jair Bolsonaro, in turn, won in 44 cities and won in countries like Israel, Paraguay and Venezuela (see below the list of cities and countries).
The PT won the majority of votes in China and the total poll tally should indicate its victory in the country. The same thing happened with Bolsonaro in countries with a high concentration of Brazilians, such as the United States and Japan.
The two candidates received the most total votes and will play the second round on October 30.
This report is currently being updated.
in all, 697,084 Brazilians living abroad were eligible to vote to choose Brazil’s next president. Those who live in foreign countries can only vote for this position. The number of eligible voters is 39.21% higher than that recorded in the 2018 elections.
In these elections, Brazil reached the record number of citizens with the right to vote: 156.4 million. The number of voters abroad is equivalent to 0.45% of this value.
