Last Saturday (23), the sands of Praia do Morro were the scene of Family Day, promoted by Maple Bear Guarapari. The school brought together students, parents and the entire team for a pleasant morning of games and shared snacks.
The 2023 edition of Family Day had the theme: Maple Bear on the Beach and the objective of the event held annually is to promote leisure, quality moments between families, in addition to strengthening links between parents and school.
According to the unit’s CEO, Weriks Andrade, Family Day is a showcase of the differences in teaching methodology in Canada. “Maple is not only concerned with academic knowledge, we are concerned with global, emotional and psychological training, always involving parents very closely. We even have other actions along the same lines of family-school partnership.
“We promote the construction of the human being in its social and emotional aspects, and not only in its functional and cognitive development. And, at this stage, with Family Day, we add values that life requires such as solidarity, teamwork, knowledge, winning and losing,” adds Aline Baeta, educational director.
Advisor Vivian Evers adds that, in this edition, Maple Bear entered into a partnership with the sports consultancy firm TeamFR, which offered a morning of numerous sports/recreational activities, as explained by manager Felipe Rocha.
“We know that sporting activities, especially those which are more recreational, go beyond physical practice, they are also sensory, where the father goes to play with his son; We thus manage to stimulate this moment of presence and attention.
According to mom Elisa O’Neil’s statement, these goals were successfully achieved: “It was a really cool day. This interaction between school and family is interesting, it brings them closer together and creates a bond. We had a great time playing and Gael really enjoyed the beach with his friends.
