The former National Secretary for Tourism Policy at MTur, Milton Sérgio Silveira ZuanazzI, also former president of Anac, was invited by the new Minister of Tourism to the post of Secretary of Planning, Sustainability and Competitiveness tourism. The announcement was made during the Visit São Paulo Expo Forum, this Thursday (20), at the WTC Sheraton, in São Paulo.
Zuanazzi has accepted the invitation to return to the Ministry of Tourism after two decades of his time at the ministry. This is the first appointment of new Tourism Minister Celso Sabino, who officially took over the portfolio on the 14th.
At PANROTAS, Zuanazzi commented on the initial objectives for the development of the portfolio, citing the budgetary reconstruction of the MTur as the main axis of his first action.
“Initially, the objective is to rebuild what has been lost. The recovery of the National Tourism Council, the Multiannual Plan and the budget which, in my view, is the main urgency of the portfolio. A ministry that once operated BRL 4 billion and today only operates BRL 60 million, needs to recover its budget,”

For the construction of the plan, the secretary intends to conduct a broad dialogue with the entire profession, in order to understand the needs and desires of the entire production chain of the sector.
Milton Zuanazzi, on his return to MTur, replaces Marcelo Lima Costa, from Daniela Carneiro’s administration.
