Romanian-Canadian figure skater and cyclist Alexandra Ianculescu has opened up about her controversial decision to open an account on OnlyFans, a platform used primarily to share sensual content.
The 31-year-old athlete broached the subject in an interview with daily star.
As a skater for Romania, Alexandra competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Previously, he represented Canada on the World Cup circuit.
Now, in his cycling version and representing Canada, he dreams of being at the Paris Olympics next year. “Do I have any expectations? Of course everyone does, but I’m not expecting too much because I don’t want to be disappointed.” If he competed in 2024, he would be included in a shortlist of athletes who competed in versions of winter and summer Olympics.
As a cyclist, she trained with an amateur Dutch team, so she is still suffering in a financial sense: “I created an OnlyFans account in 2021… It helps me survive, pay my rent , pay for groceries”. and cover the bike and coffee bills!”
The athlete explained that the idea came from a friend, as she posted bikini photos on Instagram that were quite organically engaging: “Someone suggested, ‘Why don’t you just create an OnlyFans account and create a kind of backstage of what you do? And since you post bikini pictures anyway, you can actually charge for them.”
Alexandra concluded: “Like, I love my body. I still want to post…So I thought, ‘I’ll give myself a month and see how it goes’. And that was crazy!”
On her Instagram, Alexandra has 60,000 subscribers and alternates her publications between clicks in a bikini and numerous intense training records. Late last year, she opened up about her decision to join the adult platform and complained about the judgments of friends and fans: “Before, I cared about what people thought, but I I realized their opinions weren’t paying my bills.”
On OnlyFans, he has already published more than 400 posts and received around 24,000 likes; your subscription is 20 dollars (nearly 100 reais) per month to have full access to the content.
