The social network, in turn, even claimed that it was following through with what was planned and that Musk was the one who broke the deal.
After newspapers revealed that the businessman had decided to resume negotiations, Musk said on the social network that “the purchase of Twitter is an accelerator to create X, the application of everything”, in reference what would be a new platform created by him. “Twitter probably speeds up X by 3-5, but I could be wrong,” he wrote.
Judge Kathaleen McCormick, who is reviewing the lawsuit, ruled that Musk had until Friday (28) at 5:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT) to find funding and resume activity. If the negotiation does not succeed within this period, a trial could be scheduled for November.
