The husband of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States, Nancy Pelosi, was released this Thursday (3) from a hospital in San Francisco, where he was recovering from the attack suffered last Fridayaccording to the American broadcaster CNN🇧🇷
Paul Pelosi, 82, underwent surgery for a fractured skull and other injuries he sustained after a man entered the Pelosi home in California and attacked him with a hammer.
The attacker, identified as David DePape, was arrested by authorities the same day as the attack and pleaded not guilty on Tuesday (1st) to charges against him, including assault and attempted kidnapping.
The Democratic congresswoman’s husband is now at home and the family are expected to provide more details about his condition, according to CNN.
DePape, a Canadian citizen, entered the United States legally through Mexico, but his stay in the country expired 14 years ago. The assailant broke into Pelosi’s San Francisco home yelling “Where’s Nancy?”, even though the congresswoman was in Washington at the time.
