Carrying out a student exchange is the dream of many people, especially Brazilians. To bring you closer to this achievement, discover two initiatives that offer study programs in Canada and the United Kingdom.
The University of Montreal offers, in addition to scholarships, exemption from admission fees for Brazilians to take undergraduate and even doctoral courses in Canada. According to the organizers, students can get up to 50% off tuition fees and a full fee waiver for the admissions period (Winter 2023 and Fall 2033).
To clarify the admissions steps and processes, advisors and experts from the Canadian university will be at Student Hall, São Paulo, on October 15 and 16. On the 17th there will be an in-person conference on the Aliança Francesa language network starting at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and registration is now open.
The Canadian institution offers an intensive French language learning program to students, before starting their university course. The program consists of four months of French lessons, allowing students who have already arrived in the country to know the local language and to be able to communicate and follow academic activities.
For those wishing to study in the UK, the Chevening scholarships are open for applications until 1 November at the Internet🇧🇷 The initiative grants scholarships for one-year master’s programs at several universities in the European country.
The scholarships cover return airfare to the UK, tuition fees for the chosen course, university administrative costs and also include a monthly cash amount for the student’s personal expenses.
The selection process has two phases. In the first, the candidate registers through the program’s website, filling out an online form with the courses he wishes to take. He then submits the required documentation, which includes degrees, academic records, university acceptance letters, and letters of recommendation.
In the second stage, applicants are invited for an interview in English at the British Embassy or in cities that have a British Consulate. Other requirements for participants are: having at least two years of professional experience (voluntary work and paid or unpaid internships also apply here); wish to return to their home country after completing their studies to apply the knowledge acquired in the UK; have a professional history of excellence and achievement, in addition to being able to become a great leader in their field; demonstrate that you have the personal qualities necessary to benefit from the scholarship; you wish to get in contact with other scholarship holders of the program during your studies and also after your return to your home country; and have a clear idea of how the course will benefit your country.
