This Sunday afternoon (30), in Banpará Baenão, during the match that marked the reunion of the king of the Amazon with the blue phenomenon, the blue players unfurled a banner in support of the Green April campaign, in collaboration with the Public Ministry of Labor of Pará (MPT) in partnership with the Regional Labor Court of the Eighth Region (TRT-8).

The objective of the action is to prevent accidents and occupational diseases. The banner in white and green colors, with a sentence that highlighted the TRT-8 and MPT campaign, with the number of workers injured during the regulation time of a period of play: “Every 45 minutes, 45 workers are victims work accidents in the country”, and also with the hashtag #more work accidents.

For the judge of the TRT-8, Paulo Isan Coimbra Júnior, regional director of the Seguro Trabalho program, “football is without a doubt one of the greatest passions of the inhabitants of Pará. It is very important to take advantage of this passion to address another equally important subject, the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases. It is the passion put at the service of awareness”, he underlines.

green april – The April Verde national campaign aims to raise everyone’s awareness of the importance of preventing accidents at work. Workplace accident prevention actions focus on the month of April, as the period has two important dates on the subject: World Health Day (7/4) and Day in memory of the victims of workplace accidents and occupational diseases (28/4) ). The second date, instituted at the initiative of Canadian unions, was chosen because of an explosion that killed 78 workers in a mine in the state of Virginia, United States, in 1969.
