“Pdue to the technical constraints of the fleet, it is not possible to guarantee the completion of all the scheduled journeys during the morning peak period”, indicates the company.
According to Transtejo, in an effort to minimize the impact of cancellations and delays in quarries, some ships begin their journey as soon as the maximum capacity of passengers on board is reached, regardless of the scheduled time.
In the last week of December, similar constraints were recorded on the same routes, the company explaining at the time, in a response sent to the Lusa agency, that the disruptions resulted from unexpected breakdowns of the ships serving these routes.
Transtejo is in charge of connecting Seixal, Montijo, Cacilhas and Trafaria/Porto Brandão, in the district of Setúbal, to Cais do Sodré (Lisbon), while Soflusa makes the crossing between Barreiro, also in the district of Setúbal, and Terreiro do Paço , in Lisbon .
