The Secretariat recalls the importance of seeking treatment in the health services as soon as the first symptoms appear, in order to prevent the disease from getting worse.
The state sum 5,478 cases of the disease, of which 5,014 are considered indigenous, that is, when the contagion occurred within the state. The remaining cases are imported, when residents have been infected out of state.
Health authorities recommend cleaning the internal and external areas of houses or apartments and eliminating objects with standing water. The practice helps prevent the birth of the transmitting mosquito, thus cutting off the life cycle in the aquatic phase of the insect.
