Lusa Stefani and Ingrid Martins aim for second consecutive semi-final in China

Zhengzhou (China) – The duo composed of Luísa Stefani and Ingrid Martins takes the field this Thursday at 4 a.m. (Brasília time) for the quarter-finals of the WTA 500 in Zhengzhou. The Brazilians challenge the Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and the New Zealander Erin Routliffe, top seeds and US Open champions. Stefani and Ingrid aim for a second consecutive semi-final in China, repeating the WTA 1000 result in Beijing.
The round will also feature the singles round of 16, including the debuts of Ons Jabeur and Barbora Krejcikova in the tournament. The Tunisian plays around 6 a.m. against the Italian Lucia Bronzetti. The Czech will play at the end of the calendar against the Croatian Petra Martic.
Beijing finalist, Russian Liudmila Samsonova opens center court at 4 a.m. against German Laura Siegemund. Later, at 7:30, fellow Russian Daria Kasatkina faces local guest Zhuoxuan Bai.
