On August 26, the song “Southern Cross” will be available on music streaming platforms. The third single from the musical project “Healight”. It was created by composer Marvin Lemos. The first two songs are “The Battlefield” and “Find The Light”, are now available on the platforms.

“Healight” was created through a partnership between Marvin Lemos, from Teresina (PI), with musicians from Guarulhos (SP), and brings classic rock influences from the 70s and 80s, such as Armas and RosesBon Jovi and Avantasia, with more melodic tendencies.

“Our work started during the pandemic, when we all needed emotional guidance, so we chose this name: Healight (Lighthouse). And Southern Cross (Cruzeiro do Sul) is following the same path,” he points out.

“Southern Cross” is a composition by Marvin Lemos in partnership with Canadian Alyssa Santos, created in 2020, and inspired by the constellation Cruzeiro do Sul. Alyssa now lives in Nashville (USA).

“The song shows how the love and affection for the loved ones we have lost is still there, guiding us as the stars guide navigators in the dark of night. Not forgetting, of course, those who follow us, by our side,” says Marvin.

The theme is present in the song’s lyrics, in excerpts such as “I’m sailing through the wild sea / and I know I’m too far from the wound” and “like candles burning in the sky / your love shines like the Southern Cross tonight”.

the song wasI recorded in the studios “Santinnas – Música Sem Limites”, in Guarulho/SP, between the months of June and July of this year. Who signs the mixing and mastering of the work is the music producer Daniel Santina. The artwork and artwork for the single was done by cartoonist Jota A (Teresina-PI).

Healight was born from composer Marvin Lemos’ dream of rescuing the emotion of 70s and 80s rock, in line with a current language with introspective themes.

“I’ve always believed that rock has a transformative power. And that’s how I imagined I could contribute, at a time when we all needed a beacon,” he says.

Currently, in addition to Marvin Lemos, the project has the participation of Daniel Santina (drums, percussion, keyboards, arrangement and production) and Romão Fernandes (bass, acoustic guitar, guitars and arrangement). Each song has a guest vocalist. In Southern Cross, for example, the singer is Rodrigo Beffa.
