The body of the Canadian tourist who fell in the Iguazu Falls has been identified as that of Sean Saraq, 58. The confirmation was published this Sunday (23), by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Foz do Iguaçu, in western Paraná.
The incident was recorded on the Argentinian side of the falls, in the city of Puerto Iguazú, around 11 a.m. last Monday (17).
According to the IML, the papilloscopic examination made it possible to identify the body of the victim thanks to fingerprints. The report pointed out that the the cause of death was drowning.
At g1, Argentine police have not revealed what could have caused Saraq’s fall.

According to testimonies to the police, collected so far, the tourist climbed the parapet of the walkway and fell. Then he disappeared.
How the incident
On Tuesday (18), firefighters from Foz do Iguaçu, in western Paraná, located the body of a man in the Iguaçu River, near the Tancredo Neves bridge, on the border with Argentina.

In a statement, Iguazú National Park said the matter is under police investigation and that “out of respect for those connected to the event and not to disrupt investigations, no statements will be made. done for now.”
Who is Sean Saraq?
In one of his social networks, the Canadian demonstrated his passion for the Iguaçu Falls with photos of the falls on a profile cover.
In the description, it says he was self-employed.
Besides being enchanted by nature, the Canadian showed his love for philosophical readings and described in his profile that he hopes to one day live in Argentina.
“I hope to one day live in the ‘Paris of South America’, Buenos Aires,” he described.
