THE Brazil women’s team took second place in America’s Cup 3×3 Basketball, after being overtaken by Canada in the final match. The men’s team won bronze. The event took place from November 4-6 in Miami, USA, with the main national teams in attendance.

The Brazilian women’s basketball team 3×3 started the final phase in the quarter-final duel against the selection of Puerto Rico. In a match that the Brazilians won from the start and with the score of 21-14, they secured their place in the semi-finals. The dispute for a place in the final was against the selection of Colombia and with another good match, Brazil won by 18-11 and secured the big decision.

The last match was against Canada, an opponent that Brazil had already beaten in the group stage. This time, the Canadians took over and beat the Brazilians 15-11, winning the title. The women’s team repeated the result of the last Copa América with the second. The United States, winners in 2021, finished third this time.

On the men’s side, the Brazilian 3×3 basketball team faced the Canadian team for the quarter-finals. In a well-played match, Brazil managed to conclude the match at 16-13 and continued in the competition. In the semi-finals, the Brazilians faced the selection of Puerto Rico and failed to impose their game, being passed 21-15 and staying away from the grand final.

In the dispute for third place, Brazil’s opponent was Trinidad and Tobago. The Brazilians proved superior from the start of the match and prevailed 21-9 and secured a place on the competition podium. The champion was the selection of the United States, which had a difficult match against the team of Puerto Rico, but hit the decisive balls at the end of the confrontation and closed the match at 21-18 and secured the first place .
