The fifth edition of the Desert Women Summit takes place from September 6 to 11, in the heart of the Moroccan desert. Totally directed to women leadersthis year’s event is themed around women in Brazil and will spark debates on: entrepreneurship, public policy, technology, ESG, women’s economic empowerment and integrative health – self-love, knowledge of self, self-esteem, personal development, mental and emotional balance.

President of Lékè, the company in charge of organizing the project, Janaina Araujohighlights the block of debate that talks about integrative health, in presentations moderated by Núcleo Ser. “Usually the women who have been present in previous editions of the Summit are women who value health care. In this year’s program, experiences thought by Núcleo Ser, ideal for everyone’s centering and self-knowledge. A theme in which I really believe: healthy mind, healthy body,” he comments.

Janaina also reminds that this is an opportunity to exchange knowledge between all participants and speakers. “The women who will speak are increasingly involved in Brazilian politics, within important circles and who can bring relevant themes to an exchange between us. The Summit comes to transform the lives of many women, another beginning of this trade union movement”.

Destination chosen for the event

In this edition of women’s summit the organization claims to have thought of a feature of disconnection from reality, given that Morocco is extremely different from the West.

The event will be hosted by the hotel chain Xalucaknown for being the largest chain in southern Morocco, with Tayeb Ettaiek, a Moroccan, and Lluís Pont, a Spaniard, at the head of the company which combines tradition and modernity in a series of hotels since 1988.

Between days, women will visit the following hotels in the network: Kasbah Hotel Xaluca, Hotel Xaluca Arfoud and Acampamento Privado Xaluca.

“Morocco has fundamental characteristics for the discovery of these women. Since the desert has a vibrant magic, an energy of disconnection with the outside and connection with oneself. So, for me, the destination is the number one premise for this event to be a success and to achieve the objective: self-perception and achievement”, says Janaína.
