The former president of the Municipal Health Council of Blumenau, in Santa Catarina, Ademir de Melo, has been identified as one of the radical bolsonarists who invaded the Praça dos Três Poderes, in Brasilia, on Sunday (8). In a video that has gone viral on social media, the man, who was once a candidate for the post of adviser to the defunct DEM (now União Brasil), appears with other protesters.
The video shows Melo on the ramp at the National Congress celebrating. in action, terrorists smashed windows and furniture, vandalized works of art and historical objects, broke into government offices, tore up documents and stole weapons.

O g1CS tried to contact a phone that appears as a contact on Melo’s social media. In response, a person who identified himself as his son said the Santa Catarina native’s action was peaceful and that he repudiates any acts of vandalism.
However, the man claimed he was unable to contact his father until 4pm on Monday (9) to discuss what happened.

Radical bolsonarists, putschists and criminals invaded and vandalized on Sunday (8) the National Congress, the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Planalto Palace, seat of the Presidency of the Republic, in Brasilia.
The attack on the siege of the three powers and on democracy is unprecedented in the history of Brazil. The terrorists smashed windows and furniture, vandalized works of art and historical objects, broke into government offices, tore up documents and stole weapons.
