The most anticipated tours of 2023

Just like the previous year, 2023 will be a busy time for the music world. From new releases to ending discontinuations, we have a lot to look forward to. Especially in terms of touring – Brazil will be the destination for many artists. Find out what’s to come and come program with us!

This show is closer than ever! Next Wednesday (01/18), the Hawaiian will come to São Paulo as part of the “Meet The Moonlight Tour”, which promotes his eighth studio album. Released in June 2022, the album of the same name as the tour continues to have a strong folk influence.

Johnson will also visit Rio de Janeiro on the 20th and Belo Horizonte on the 22nd during the Summer Festival. The icing on the cake, there are still tickets available for the concerts! Get yours here.

Back street boys

On their eleventh tour, the eternal Backstreet Boys will travel the world to promote “DNA”, an album they released in 2019. The journey began in 2019 and was set to end in 2020 – until the band’s plans were cut short by the pandemic. Initially, the trip was rescheduled for 2021, but was eventually postponed to 2022 and 2023.

After crossing Europe and North America, the group will close the project with their presentations in Brazil. Starting in Curitiba on January 25, then heading to São Paulo on January 27 and 28, the last show will be in Belo Horizonte on January 29. Most tickets are sold out, but some are still available. Originally, the Brazilian stops on the circuit “Music of the Spheres World Tour” would take place in October last year. However, the performances were postponed due to a lung infection suffered by singer Chris Martin.

With the readjustments, the new show dates are: March 10, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 18 at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo; March 21 and 22 at the Couto Pereira stadium in Curitiba; and March 25, 26 and 28 Nilton Santos Engenhão Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Tickets for the eleven concerts are sold out.

Depeche Mode

The English group will hit the road again from May 2023 after five years without touring. through the tour “Memento Mori”, members will perform in North America and Europe. Even if Depeche Mode does not come to Brazil, its fans will not be empty-handed: the project promotes its fifteenth studio album, promised for this year.

It should be noted that the artwork pays tribute to founding member Andy Flether, who died in May last year. “The ‘Memento Mori’ is an object that is kept as a reminder of the inevitability of death – a skull, for example. It sounds very morbid, but I think you can also see it in a very positive way…we should live each day to the fullest. I think that’s how we like to play toocommented vocalist Dave Gahan.

Announced last November, the After Hours Til Dawn World Tour will bring together works from the artist’s last two albums – Dawn FM (2022) and After Hours (2020). From July to September 2022, he is touring the United States. Starting in June this year, The Weeknd will travel to Europe and Latin America.

The artist will be present in Brazil the second week of October. On the 7th, at the Nilton Santos stadium, his presentation of Rio de Janeiro will take place. In São Paulo, the singer scheduled the show for the 10th at the Allianz Parque and, with tickets sold out, announced an additional performance on October 11th. There are no more tickets available.

It is expected that the Canadian will still disclose the dates of the shows on the Australian, African and Asian continents.

Taylor Swift

After 5 years without traveling to perform, Taylor Swift will return to the stage with “The tour of eras”. Limited to the United States, the tour kicks off March 13 in Glendale, United States. The trip will promote his most recent album, ‘Midnights’and will highlight key songs from the singer’s career.

Fun fact: did you know that with this tour, Taylor Swift could be the first person to become a billionaire exclusively through music? On the day the tickets went on sale, the Ticketmaster platform registered over 2 million purchases, surpassing any other artist.

Paramore

“That is why”, sixth studio album by the American rock band, has its debut date set for February 10 this year. Following the release, Paramore will end their 8-year hiatus since their last gig in Brazil. Announced in October 2022, tickets for the shows are nearly sold out.

The group will be present on March 9 at the Qualistage, in Rio de Janeiro, and on March 11 and 12, at the Centro Esportivo Tietê in São Paulo. See available places here and here.
