One of the main names in current pop music, singer The Weeknd not only announced his new world tour which starts from June 10, 2023, but also confirmed last Monday (28) that Brazil is confirmed on tour.
This is the seventh tour for the Canadian artist, who is simultaneously releasing his fourth and fifth studio albums, after hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). It should be remembered that this is also the second leg of the stadium tour. The first leg kicked off on July 14, 2022 in Philadelphia and ended on November 27 in Inglewood.
Presentations in Brazil will take place in Rio de Janeiro on October 7 and São Paulo on October 10. The show in Rio will take place at the Nilton Santos Stadium (Engenhão). In São Paulo, it happens at the Allianz Parque. Tickets are on sale on the Event from December 8 at 10 a.m.
DJ Kaytranada and American producer Mike Dean will accompany the rapper on the tour, opening for shows in Europe. The opening of Brazil and other Latin American countries has not been announced. He still plays in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
Second time on Brazilian soil and ticket prices
The Canadian has already come to Brazil in 2017, when he was the headliner of Lollapalooza, in São Paulo, with the album starboy, when he debuted in the country, at the height of his success with songs like Starboy and False Alarm. This is the first time the singer has performed solo outside of a festival.
Tickets for the show in Rio de Janeiro range from R$175 to R$860. In São Paulo, prices range from R$230 to R$750. In addition to the virtual sales, physical sales will take place at the Engenhão ticket office (Norte wing) and at the Jeunesse Arena, for Rio de Janeiro; and at Allianz Parque (ticket office A) and Estádio do Morumbi (ticket office 5), for São Paulo.
For BRBCard customers, there will be exclusive pre-sales on December 6 and 7, starting December 6 at 10 a.m. online and 11 a.m. at the official box office.
