Three other Brazilians guarantee a place in the main draws of the Fencing World Cup

Pedro also remains in the competition after beating Taiwanese Che-Hao Yueh 15-9 and Canadian Patrick Liu 15-5. His next opponent will be the Japanese Kyosuke Matsuyama. The third Brazilian, Lorenzo Mion, was eliminated after losing to Canadian Bogdan Hamilton, 15-14. He finished 105th out of 178 competitors in this category.

At female saber we had two fencers: Karina Trois and Luana Pekelman. Both went through chickens. Unfortunately, Karina lost to Georgian Alexandra Kuvaeva by 15-10 and finished the competition in 69th place out of 129 athletes. Luana, meanwhile, remains in contention after beating Azerbaijan’s Sabina Karimova 15-11. Her next opponent will be the Greek Theodora Gkountoura, world number 4.

It should be remembered that after the end of the individual competition, we will have the team dispute. The Fencing World Cup runs until July 30.
