Thailand’s tourism delegation has arrived in São Paulo for the LGBT+ Pride Week festivities, cementing itself as one of the most receptive destinations for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and all peoples. São Paulo, June 12, 2023 – A Thai tourist delegation has landed in São Paulo for LGBT+ Pride Week festivities, with the aim of reinforcing Thailand’s message as one of the most receptive to the lesbian community, gay, bisexual, trans – and all people – regardless of their identification; and that they feel free to travel the country on vacation, for celebrations and for other purposes.
Led by the Executive Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand for the Americas, Titiporn Menenate, the group of six Thais received guests and opinion makers on the Thursday (06/8) of the party, at Cineclube Cortina, for an exclusive cocktail that praised the culture of diversity in the country. Alongside Jeff Santos, of PMG Capital Marketing, representing the tourism agency for South America, Ms. Menenate underlined the importance of the LGBT+ segment in the tourism development of her country, and focused on the scene of the Cineclube Cortina an unprecedented presentation of Thai cultural artists. On Sunday (11/06), they also traveled the circuit of the 27th LGBT+ Pride Parade in São Paulo, taking photos with the public and distributing typical souvenirs of the country. “The aim is to showcase the diversity and inclusive culture that is uniquely Thai – love is love. Thailand supports the LGBT+ community and inclusion. We want this to be clear to the public Brazilian,” says Jeff Santos.
