UFOs close airspace over the Great Lakes in the United States and Canada

Airspace in the Great Lakes region between the United States and Canada suffered closures on Sunday afternoon due to “military actions”, possibly against unidentified flying objects (UFOs). First, the region above Lake Michigan in the northern United States has been temporarily blocked off for “national defense” reasons. The space reopened about 30 minutes later, the US Civil Aviation Authority (FAA) said.

“The FAA briefly closed a portion of the airspace over Lake Michigan to support Department of Defense Operations“, said the regulatory agency in a statement. At another location in the Great Lakes, Canada, the local government initiated a new closure at around 4:35 p.m. (Brasilia time). There is still no confirmation of the origin of the decision.

Blockages occur after three flying objects, including one described by Washington as a Chinese spy balloon, they were shot within a week in the United States and Canada. It also comes a day after a similar stop in Montana to investigate a “radar anomaly”, according to the military. Reports of alleged Chinese spy balloons have also occurred in South America, including Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

On Saturday, Montana state airspace was temporarily closed, but a fighter jet sent to investigate failed to identify a “flying object”, according to the military, which later acknowledged that the The alert was due to a radar anomaly. The United States believes that the first object officially detected was a balloon controlled by the Chinese military, part of a fleet sent by Beijing to more than 40 countries on five continents for espionage purposes.
