ACanadian authorities announced on Saturday that an unidentified object was shot down, which was flying over the northwest of the country, with the help of the American air force.
The announcement was made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who said on Twitter that the tracking object at high altitude was “violating Canadian airspace”.

This announcement comes after recent diplomatic tensions between the United States and China, following the shooting down last week of a Chinese “spy balloon” which flew over North American airspace.
On Friday, a second object was shot down by US air forces as it flew over Alaska, Canada’s westernmost state.
