The University of Santa Cruz do Sul (Unisc) will receive, next week, 24 Canadian students from Concordia University in Edmonton (CUE). They are part of two different programs: “A journey that matters: Canada-Brazil Indigenous Knowledge Exchange” It is “Short Term International Program”.
On Monday 22, 13 young people from the program “A journey that matters: Canada-Brazil Indigenous Knowledge Exchange”. They are staying until June 4. The program is a proposal funded by the Canadian government, resulting from a project that the international sectors of Unisc and CUE jointly built in 2022 and was approved to finance the coming of Canadian students to Brazil.

Then, on the 27th, 11 other students arrived via the “Short Term International Program”. The program was built jointly, as part of a partnership between the international sectors of Unisc, CUE, Feevale, LaSalle and Univates. Students spend a week at each institution in Rio Grande do Sul and learn about both cultural aspects and local academic issues.
The 24 students are accommodated in family houses in Santa Cruz do Sul. Students take undergraduate courses in several fields such as music, education, biology, psychology, political science, among others.
