Microsoft begins this Tuesday (26) releasing a Windows 11 update. The system now has Copilot, a type of built-in ChatGPT that includes text and voice commands to perform actions in various programs.
The new feature package includes a feature that lets you create images in Paint and an option to turn what’s written on a printout into text to share elsewhere. The features are part of Microsoft system version 22H2 update.
Check out the main changes to Windows 11 below.
- 🤖 Co-pilot: the wizard can be used to create text summaries, edit images, activate system resources, request musical suggestions, among others;
- 🎨 Painting: got Cocreator, which generates images from text descriptions and features to remove backgrounds from images and manage layered files, like in Photoshop;
- 🖼️Photos: image manager achieved image background blur and file search by image content;
- 🎬Clipchamp: The clip editor now has AI functionality that suggests scenes, edits and styling based on available photos and videos;
- 🖥️ Screenshot: it became possible to extract the textual content of an image, as well as to hide private information that may appear on a print;
- 📄 Notepad: it started automatically saving files you created and keeping tabs opened when last used;
- 🔎Bing: gained support for the DALL-E 3 drawing bot and also became capable of providing answers based on your history – for example, if you ask the search engine to plan a trip, it will be able to suggest dates when your team is playing in the city of destiny.
Microsoft also reported that images created by Bing will have a sort of invisible watermark with date and time information to indicate that they were generated using artificial intelligence.
How to update Windows 11
To receive the news, you need to check if the update is already available to you. To do this, search for “Windows Update” in the search box on the taskbar. Then click “Check for updates” and, if possible, continue installing the new version.
Windows 11 is expected to receive a new update in early November, which will include Copilot in the Microsoft 365 package, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
The feature will be able to analyze files, emails, chats, among others, to help you create documents from scratch, plan business trips and empty your inbox faster, for example.
