A Canadian claims to have been cheated after buying a Sphynx cat for around R$2,400.
The Sphynx breed is a rare cat breed that has become popular on the internet. This is because they have no body hair or whiskers, in addition to having pointy ears and thinner faces. In Brazil, they can be sold for up to R$3,000.
After a week with her new kitten, a caramel coat began to appear and she discovered that the cat was actually just a pooch, and the salesman had shaved off all of her fur and whiskers.
“He was just a tiny little kitten, he couldn’t have been more than 8 months old, and he was completely naked,” says the buyer.
“I thought it was a Sphynx cat because it was very, very thin and had an angular face,” he says.

JoAnne Dyck, the cat’s buyer, posted photos of the kitten on her facebook page, denouncing the seller. She says the seller took the cat to her house.
Eventually, JoAnne ended up giving the cat to another family, claiming that it didn’t get along with her other cats.
“We talked about it a lot, but he really didn’t seem to fit in. When we took him to the vet they said he had cuts on his skin probably from razors or something,” says JoAnne.
According to the Facebook post, 2 other women also suffered the same blow in the area.
