youA middle-aged woman scratched more than 400 cars at two Canadian auto showrooms over a four-month period, causing more than $500,000 in damage.
Footage released by authorities there shows the woman ‘in action’, wearing goggles, gloves, a hat and even a surgical mask, as she walks around the car dealership and uses a tool to scrape vehicles on the spot.
The one-minute video begins with footage dated April 27, 2023 at 9:20 p.m., then transitions to footage dated January 15, 2023 at 7:34 p.m. In the latter, the woman is seen with an umbrella and a winter coat, crossing a line of vehicles.
According to authorities, quoted by the New York Post, the incidents occurred at two car dealerships in British Columbia, located less than a kilometer from each other.
The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have yet to locate the culprit.
The woman is described as Caucasian, between 40 and 50 years old, with shoulder-length blonde hair and a strong build. Police also believe he drove a Ford Escape from 2008 to 2013.
