Kamala Khan is a newly created heroine from the Marvel Comics Universe. She first appeared in 2013 under the secret identity of Kamala. And more female representation in the world of heroes, that’s what we want, right?
Besides the female emancipation in question, the heroine is the first Muslim character to have her own comic strip at the Casa das Ideias. Kamala Khan is the daughter of a Pakistani and lives in the United States – in the plot she tackles questions about prejudice, Islamophobia and the challenges of adolescence.

Do we like teenage stories? Yeah! The 16-year-old girl sneaks out to a party and is struck by the Terrigen Mist, altering her DNA. With powers of elasticity, she must now deal with the changes that made her like her idols – beyond teen drama, of course.
Interpretation by Iman Vellani
The young Canadian will make her screen debut in Ms. Wonder. Iman Vellani is only 19 years old and is also the daughter of Muslim immigrants from Pakistan. The role of Kamala Khan marks Iman’s screen debut and the anticipation for her performance is high!
