‘Sniper’ plans another duel against Malcolm Gordon to avenge his loss
Return to the win column, after finishing Daniel ‘Noodles’ in the first round of the fight last Saturday (30), on the UFC Vegas 53 card, Francisco Figueiredo is already focusing his attention on his next appointment in the organization.
Without sustaining major damage in the battle, which was resolved in just over a minute of the fight, the ‘Sniper’, as the younger brother of flyweight champion (57kg) Deiveson Figueiredo is called, projects a quick comeback in the Octagon and, it seems, has a preferential target.
In an interview with fight against agriculture, Francisco has revealed he is interested in a rematch with Malcolm Gordon, to avenge the defeat suffered in July last year.
At the time, the Brazilian – who was fresh off a win on his UFC debut – ended up being passed by the Canadian in the judges’ unanimous decision. If his request is accepted by the entity, however, the Paraense promises that the duel will have a different outcome.
“I want to give this loss back to Malcolm Gordon, I would like to face him again,” revealed Francisco.
With last Saturday’s result, Francisco Figueiredo now has two wins and one loss in the UFC octagon. Overall, the flyweight has 13 wins, four losses, one draw and one “no contest” in his professional MMA record.
