The Olympic Villages Professor Manoel José Gomes Tubino, better known as Vila Olímpica do Mato Alto, located in Praça Seca, and Jornalista Ary de Carvalho, in Vila Kennedy, have 900 places open to sports practice. All classes are free and many modalities are available, with options for all ages. Each person can register for a maximum of three activities.

– This is another unmissable opportunity for those who want to engage in physical activity. We seek to increase the number of vacancies in the Olympic villages, bringing the sport to the whole population – said the municipal secretary of Sports, Guilherme Schleder.

In the Olympic Village of Mato Alto there are more than 400 places. Among the activities available are: ballet, basketball, boxing, capoeira, self-defense, futsal, gap, handball, water aerobics, swimming and tennis. At Vila Olímpica Jornalista Ary de Carvalho there are 524 places available. There are places available for Aerobox, Athletics, Ballet, Power Ballet, Basketball, Capoeira, Functional, Futsal, Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Hydrogymnastics, Jazz, Jiu -jitsu, karate, swimming, street dancing, tabata and taekwondo, in addition to activities for PCD.

Registration takes place at the site secretariat from Tuesday to Friday (working days), from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Vila Olímpica Jornalista Ary de Carvalho, and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Vila Olímpica do Mato Alto. They continue until all vacancies offered in each modality are filled.

The documents requested for those over 18 are copies of identity, CPF, proof of address. Those who use continuing medicine or who have chronic illnesses must present a medical certificate. Minors must bring copies of the student’s identity document, the identity document and CPF of the person in charge, proof of address and the school registration document. Only the father, mother, grandparents or older brother can register minors.
