Unicamp, in partnership with the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC), organized the Sports Management course in Brazilian Clubs, taught as part of the program of the National Sports Training Forum, organized by CBC, from August 28 to 31. The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Sports, Ana Moser, accompanied by a delegation from the ministry. Officials from the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) and athletes from the Brazilian team – who represent the country in international championships – also participated in the forum.

The course organized by Unicamp was taught by Professor Leandro Mazzei, from the Sports Sciences sector of the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA), and had the special participation of the Director of Development and Sports Sciences of the COB, Kenji Saito. At the opening of the course, Rector Antonio José de Almeida Meirelles highlighted the importance of Unicamp’s partnership with the CBC, in advancing scientific knowledge and skill of the University.

Mazzei highlighted that the action aimed to provide guests with tips and lessons on how to build good management within clubs with a view to achieving excellent results. According to the professor, this effort involves, among other things, encouraging the training of athletes with a winning mentality in order to increase Brazil’s representation in international championships.
