Recovery
“The 27th edition of the International Lutheran Games represented a very important stage in the history of this event,” guarantees the head of the organizing committee, Éverton Vargas. According to him, in 2020 and 2021 there were no competitions due to the pandemic. And the resumption, in 2022, was a very reduced version in terms of the number of athletes and competitions.
Vargas therefore underlines the importance of the 2023 edition.
“It had a special flavor to fully resume the Games, with the participation again of three countries, with more than 1,300 athletes. Sport was highlighted and young people were protagonists in the fight for trophies and medals. »
Sports are very important in education, Vargas says. “It offers students lessons in teamwork, leadership, strategy, emotional intelligence, among other benefits,” concludes the head of the Lutheran Games organizing committee.
