How Canada fared against Ireland at the Women’s World Cup

1×1: In the 50th minute, Julia Grosso advanced from the left and crossed low. Connolly made a move to make the cut and sent it into his own net, taking away the goalkeeper’s defending chances.

2×1: In the 8th minute of the second half, Schmidt passed to Leon in the middle of the area. She anticipated the scoring and hit hard to give Canada the advantage.

Almost Sinclair! In the 16th minute, the Canadian striker received a good pass in the middle of the area and hit hard, for a good save from Brosnan.

Sinclair loses again! At 21 minutes, new chance of record. Sinclair received a good cross and tried to hit it first time. She caught the ball badly and wasted the opportunity.

Almost McCabe! Best Irish player on the field, McCabe almost equalized at 33. She dribbled past three opponents, invaded the area from the right and finished well. The ball went close to the post.
