The ‘Unforgiven’ ranch with Clint Eastwood is up for sale — idealista/news

The ranch that served to bring the fictional town of ‘Great Whisky’, featured in the classic American western, the ‘Unforgiven’ (1992), is for sale. Located in the Canadian province of Alberta, on the outskirts of the Canadian Rockies, the property has a value of approximately 25.5 million Canadian dollars (about 18.9 million euros).

Covering approximately 480 hectares, it includes a stately main residence, several guest cabins, an indoor riding arena, an 11-hectare lake with a boathouse, and the original Wild West town setting depicted in the film ‘Unforgiven’, featuring Clint Eastwood.

“The movie was shot in the area literally next to the ranch. Clint Eastwood stayed at the ranch during filming, and his colleagues Morgan FREEMAN, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris also spent a lot of time here. The current owners purchased the fictional “Big Whiskey” town featured in the film and rebuilt the ranch. The property is sensational and part of the real Wild West, right in the heart of Canada,” says Chris Burns, Realtor at Engel & Völkers Vancouver, responsible for marketing the property.

O Fisher Creek Ranch is located in an idyllic setting on the slopes of the Canadian Rockies, about an hour’s drive from the Canadian city of Calgary. Pine trees make their way from the property’s main gates, through an ancient fort to the main residence – a stately lodge that mixes massive logs with steel and rough stone to form a magnificent mountain home . Clint Eastwood lived on this property during filming in 1992. The interiors span 1,142 square meters – with five bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, seven fireplaces and a large dining room.

‘Unforgiven’ is a 1992 American Western film produced, directed and starring American film legend Clint Eastwood. With Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris as supporting actors. In this film, Clint Eastwood takes a critical look at both the genre and his previous roles. The film won four Oscars in 1993, including Best Cinematography, Best Director and Best Film Editing.
