Brazil defeats Canada to secure a spot in the Volleyball Pan American Cup semi-finals

Brazil has won its second victory in the Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup, which is being played in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. The alternative team, made up of young players and commanded by Carlos Schwanke, faced Canada this Wednesday (16) and won by 3 sets to 0, partials of 25/16, 25/20 and 25/21.

Brazil walked in the first set leaving no chance for the Canadian attack, who started to even the game in the second set, but even so the Brazilian attack continued to show their strength, winning the second set tighter. In the third set, Canada put on a good performance, even leveling the match in the final period of the set, but couldn’t keep up the pace and Brazil were able to wrap up the game with ease. In the end, Brazil and Canada was a game with a lot of mistakes. There were 26 points conceded for Canadian errors and 24 for Brazilian errors.

Marcus Vinícius and Darlan were Brazil’s top scorers in the match with 12 points each. Victor Birigui with 8 points was another good Brazilian scorer. For Canada, Heslinga with 9 points and Canham with 7 were the top scorers

With one of the best first places guaranteed, the Brazilian team has secured the semi-finals and will not return to the court until Saturday (19), while waiting for its opponent who will come from the quarter-finals, which will be played on Friday ( 18) .
